From cosmetics to cottages, Jane's career journey has been anything but ordinary. After climbing the ranks to become a Regional Sales Manager for Virgin, she swapped sales targets for serviced accommodation and never looked back.

As the founder and Company Director of Overman Stays, Jane is the mastermind behind the business. Armed with determination, vision, and probably a never-ending to-do list, she built the company from the ground up eight years ago. What started as a single idea has grown into a thriving business that continues to go from strength to strength.

Jane is the person with the big ideas, the ambitious plans, and the uncanny ability to spot an opportunity from a mile away. If Overman Stays were a ship, Jane would be the captain, navigator, and occasional engine room mechanic all rolled into one.

When she's not steering the business forward, she's usually thinking about how to make it even better. Some people collect hobbies; Jane collects properties and projects!

Every successful business needs a steady hand at the wheel, and that's where John comes in. Tall, handsome, intelligent... and no, he definitely didn't write this himself!

John spent over 30 years as a sales representative in the building trade, building up a wealth of knowledge, industry contacts, and enough stories to keep everyone entertained for days. Never one to sit still, he later gained his Energy Performance Certificate qualification before moving on to survey properties for the local authority.

With decades of experience in buildings, property, and customer service, John is the practical brains behind many of the day-to-day operations. If something needs fixing, measuring, inspecting, or generally figuring out, John is usually the man for the job.

While Jane is busy dreaming up the next big idea, John is often the one making sure it actually works in the real world. Together they make the perfect partnership – one comes up with the plans, the other checks whether the walls are straight.

Rumour has it that John's height is useful for reaching high shelves, inspecting gutters, and occasionally changing light bulbs without a ladder.

If you've stayed with us, chances are you've already experienced Vickie's warmth, kindness, and seemingly endless supply of smiles.

Vickie's career began at the Early Learning Centre, where she spent 12 years working her way up to Assistant Manager. When redundancy unexpectedly came knocking – while she was pregnant with her third child, no less – she took it all in her stride and embarked on a new adventure as a childminder.

Over the next 12 years, Vickie cared for countless children, earning a reputation for patience, reliability, and having the organisational skills of a military commander disguised as a mum.

Fortunately for us, Jane spotted those talents and persuaded Vickie to join the business. As Operations Manager, Vickie is the friendly face and reassuring voice behind many of our guest and partner relationships. Whether she's helping guests settle in, supporting our property owners, or solving the latest challenge of the day, she does it all with care, professionalism, and that trademark smile.

Quite simply, Vickie keeps the wheels turning, the guests happy, and the rest of us organised. We're still not entirely sure how she manages it all, but we're very glad she does.

Every team needs someone with an eye for detail, a flair for creativity, and the patience to turn a vision into reality. For us, that's Lyn.

A qualified draughtsperson with additional training in interior design, Lyn is the creative force behind the look and feel of our properties. Give her a blank room and she'll see possibilities where the rest of us just see four walls.

Lyn approaches every property as a unique project, carefully designing spaces that are welcoming, stylish, and full of character. She has a particular talent for upcycling and hand-painting furniture, transforming forgotten pieces into beautiful features that give each property its own personality.

When she's not busy creating cosy boutique interiors complete with all the modern comforts our guests expect, you'll probably find her in the garden, nurturing plants with the same care and attention she gives to our properties.

Thanks to Lyn's creativity and craftsmanship, every Overman Stays property has its own charm, combining comfort, style, and those thoughtful touches that make guests feel right at home. If a guest says, "I love what you've done with this place," chances are Lyn is the reason why.

Every business has that one person you call when something needs fixing, building, creating, repairing, or rescuing. For us, that's Tim.

A highly skilled plasterer, carpenter, general builder, and all-round problem solver, Tim is our go-to man for everything from major renovation projects to those little maintenance jobs that inevitably pop up when you manage properties.

But Tim's talents don't stop there. When he's not wielding tools on-site, he's busy turning tree stumps into beautiful handcrafted lamps and light fittings. While most people see a lump of wood, Tim sees a statement piece for a room.

Whether it's technical maintenance, building work, bespoke carpentry, or finding a solution to a challenge that nobody else can figure out, Tim is always ready to help. His motto seems to be: no job too big, no job too small.

Most importantly, Tim is always at the end of the phone when we need him. Reliable, hardworking, and blessed with a seemingly endless range of practical skills, he's the person we can count on to get the job done—often before we've even finished explaining the problem.

Quite simply, if it can be built, fixed, repaired, improved, or reinvented, Tim's your man.

Behind every well-maintained property is someone making sure that all the little details are taken care of, and for us, that's Warren.

As our Property Inspector, Warren has an impressive eye for detail and a knack for spotting things that the rest of us somehow manage to miss. Whether it's checking that a property is looking its best, keeping on top of the gardens, or identifying minor issues before they become major problems, Warren is always one step ahead.

He's also our resident recycling champion, making sure everything is sorted correctly and helping us do our bit for the environment. Add in minor repairs, general maintenance, and a talent for problem-solving, and it's easy to see why he's such an important part of the team.

Warren is always happy to roll up his sleeves and get stuck in. From tightening a loose handle to tidying a garden or fixing those little niggles that inevitably crop up, he's the man who keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Guests may never realise how much work goes into keeping our properties looking their best, but Warren certainly does. Thanks to his dedication, attention to detail, and willingness to tackle any task, our properties are always ready to make a great first impression.
